Soccer Player Aaron Ramsey Boosts Incentive for Lost Dog in Mexican Territory to Fifteen Thousand Pounds
Welsh soccer player Aaron Ramsey has increased the bounty for details about the missing pet named Halo to $20,000.
The former Arsenal and Cardiff midfielder, who currently is with Pumas UNAM in Mexico City, revealed that Halo was last seen in San Miguel de Allende, located in the Guanajuato region.
Halo, who disappeared on 9 October, was equipped with a dog tracker collar, and the footballer posted a Google maps location of her last known location.
"Any news regarding our pet Halo please contact us. Substantial incentive for finding her. We are all praying she's ok and can be back to our family quickly," the athlete posted on social media.
Earlier Offer and Emotional Appeals
Ramsey first disclosed that his dog had disappeared 14 days prior and has subsequently posted several photos of the adored dog on his social media account.
A $ten thousand dollar reward was initially provided, but with absence of information on Halo's status after a seven days, the player and his family doubled the amount.
"All we desire is Halo back," he stated in a further plea on his online platforms after the 10-year-old dog disappeared.
The most recent image post is a monochrome photo of Halo napping, its head resting in the crook of Ramsey's elbow, with the description: "What I wouldn't give to cuddle you again Halo."
Household's Concerns and Context
The footballer has also posted a message from his wife Mrs. Ramsey on online channels mentioning they have a few "pressing queries" about the disappearance and are concerned the household "might not obtain explanations".
"To this day we haven't found our dog. It is unlikely we ever will," his wife's update read.
The Welsh leader became part of Mexico's premier club Pumas UNAM earlier this year and had his first appearance in Liga MX in August.
The Caerphilly-born footballer is the initial high profile British Isles athlete to compete in the Mexico's top division.
