The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
