Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
